About
ABDI is an Autonomous Social Service entity established by Law No. 11,080 of December 30, 2004. Its purpose is to promote the implementation of industrial development policies—particularly those that foster job creation in Brazil—in alignment with foreign trade and science and technology policies.
Mission
ABDI is responsible for developing initiatives that assist the Federal Government in implementing industrial policies, such as *Nova Indústria Brasil* (NIB), thereby contributing to the country's socioeconomic development. The Agency also works to drive the digital transformation of the national industrial sector, making it more competitive, technologically advanced, efficient, and sustainable.
How We Work
We formulate, monitor, and execute initiatives that contribute to the development of the national productive sector.
We promote and monitor incentive mechanisms for neo-industrialization policies, with a special focus on the sustainable economy and the energy transition.
We foster the digital transformation of businesses by encouraging the adoption and dissemination of technologies.
We operate at the intersection of government and the private sector to refine public policies and strategic actions aimed at boosting the competitiveness and productivity of the Brazilian economy in the face of digital-age challenges.
