MASTERBATCHES
Information
A concentrated mixture of pigments, additives, or other components, dispersed in a base resin, which is used as a concentrate to be incorporated into large quantities of plastic material. The masterbatch is added to the virgin resin (in small amounts) during the manufacturing process of plastic products, such as films, molds, and extrusions. It provides an efficient and cost-effective way to add colors, performance properties (such as UV resistance, antioxidants, or flame retardants), and other desired characteristics to the final product.
