At the Port of Itaqui, grain shipments are handled by two high-capacity systems with road and rail reception and three specialized berths, each with a potential throughput of up to 8 million tons per year.
The Maranhão Grain Terminal (TEGRAM) features a multimodal structure, storage capacity of 500,000 tons, and an average maritime loading rate of 5,500 tons per hour through berths 100 and 103. The São Luís Port Terminal, operated by VLI, has silos and warehouses with a static capacity of 255,000 tons and rail unloading operations through berth 105.
