PELNAC®

PELNAC®, marketed as TheraGenesis® in the USA, is an FDA-cleared, collagen-based wound dressing that can be used to manage partial- and full-thickness wounds, ulcers, trauma and burn wounds, surgical wounds, and draining wounds. PELNAC® consists of a collagen sponge layer, which provides a scaffold for cellular invasion and capillary growth, and a silicone film layer, which is reinforced with non-adhesive gauze. The meshed type of this device has slits that aid exudate drainage, which can reduce the risk of infection.
