Highly active metakaolin (Anhydrous Aluminum Silicate Al₂Si₂O₇), CAS Number: 92704-41-1. In cement mortar, Highly Active Metakaolin (also known as Metakao) is an important Admixture that enhances the performance of the mortar. Metakaolin is a naturally occurring clay mineral that has been specially treated to have a higher specific surface area and reactivity, allowing it to serve multiple functions in cement mortar. The recommended dosage is 5–15%.
